We hurt the ones who loved us

Envied the ones who wanted us dead

Burnt our bridges and cut our ropes

Put poison in the air without a care

But we never have time to sit back and wonder what we have done

We are who we are because of what happened

We are who we are because of what we did

You repress empathy for others

We've become ignorant and judgmental

We let others burn in our fire

We do everything to ourselves

But we're so quick to blame

We pick the pretty roses for our bouquets

Then leave the ugly ones to wilt in the fields

You don't acknowledge what you have done

So tell me what have we done?
