As I'm sitting on my grandparents plush red couch with my cousin, I get a thought. "Papa" I ask.
"Yes my little Boogerbear," He says from his spot on their blue leather chair.
"Papa, I have a question. How do the stars get in the sky?"
"Well" he starts " The stars are in the sky because of beautiful, adventurous young women with bright personalities. When they pass away they go up into the sky," he answers.
"But why the sky?" my cousin, Kate asks. Papa sits to think for a moment before responding.
"Those young women were so kind and adventurous that God let them choose if they wanted to explore the universe and make new friends, or go to Heaven with him. But they were so adventurous they chose to go into the sky." He seemed content with that answer, but I had one more question that I needed an answer to. But just as I started to ask Cato the old cat distracted me as he jumped up into my lap and started snorting very loudly.
After a few seconds he quieted down and I could ask, "Why do we only see some stars?"
As Papa started to explain, I petted Cato "Even though all the girls are brave and fearless some will get homesick. So they stay closer to home than others, and that's okay. Now my little Boogerbears I'm going to get something to eat."
And with that he walked into the kitchen and Cato purred on my lap.
