Introduction
Have you ever felt lost in your mind? Like you think how other people could negatively judge you? No worries! Most people feel the same way, and I’ll help you solve this type of problem! Building self-confidence is a simple task, so you can start building it in three steps. First, set goals for yourself. Next, think of things you're good at, and how they can help you in the future. Lastly, start putting yourself first! These three steps are very critical when you want to build your self-confidence.
Start Setting Goals
In fact, self-confidence is a feeling of trust in one’s abilities, qualities, and judgment. If you have a goal set in mind, and you visualize yourself achieving this goal, that means you have confidence in your actions. According to positivepsychology.com, “Setting goals helps trigger new behaviors, helps guide your focus, and helps you sustain momentum in your life.” Furthermore, setting goals will help you have the right mindset, and have a more positive view on your life, and others.
Your Strengths and Talents
Even though your strength could be as silly as making origami or cracking your knuckles, those are things you could be good at, and soon use them as an advantage. For example, a quote by Lance Reddick states, “It’s funny, because in drama school, my greatest strength was my range. So my early career was like that: I played all kinds of different characters.” This quote highlights that any strength that you think is your best use it! It may help you find a career that you think is the best for yourself.
You Matter!
You may think that you should worry about your friends and classmates and think about what they’re doing. What about you? Shouldn’t you be going somewhere too? Putting yourself first is very important because you can build self-confidence and even your self-esteem! In addition, according to mindbodygreen.com, “Putting yourself first is important because it ensures that our care for others ultimately can come from a place of inner abundance, a feeling of already being taken care of within.” This validates that putting yourself first can be forgotten to do because you care about your friends and family to make sure they know where they are going in the right places.
Conclusion
In conclusion, you should have a firm belief that your mind can overcome any challenge if you say you can. I think you can do just about anything but that’s not up to me, you should be able to make a decision with your fresh mind that knows how to build self-confidence. Self-confidence is very important because without even a slight bit of knowledge, you might not know how to stand up for yourself when you need to.
