There are many ways to express yourself through the arts. Musicals
are just one of the ways.
Need some inspiration? Here are some of the top musicals from
the past 100 years.
- Hamilton: Hamilton is the newest play on this
list but it’s also one of the most influential. Written by Lin-Manuel

the most important figures in U.S. History. Lin-Manuel Miranda combines Hamilton’s
story with modern day styles of music, like rap.
- The Wizard of Oz: The Wizard of Oz, created in 1939,
takes place in Kansas. When a tornado rips through the heroine, Dorothy's
town she and her dog Toto are swept up in their house and carried to the
land of Oz where they encounter many friends but also enemies.
- Wicked:

Oz, this musical tells the story of the witches and how they came to be.
- The Lion King:

when, one day the king’s brother wants control of the throne and he will
stop at nothing to get it.
